Slavonia

Slavonia (Croatian Slavonija) is a historical region in eastern Croatia. Slavonia between the Sava and Drava rivers, the east by the Danube and is the breadbasket of Croatia. Slavonia is in the north, south and east, mainly from the lowlands of the Pannonian Basin, extends to the west and the middle is a low mountain ranges with peaks Papuk (953 m), Diljen (461 m) and Psunj (984 m). It extends east-west direction between the Drava river (border with Hungary) in the north and the Save (border with Bosnia-Herzegovina) in the south, to the Danube River (border with Serbia) in the east. Western Slavonia border is not clearly determined purely geographical.
